Hey folks, it’s finally here once again, and this is a complete new relaunch of the Magnet4Marketing online marketing and blogging tips podcast, something I’ve been planning to do properly again for a long time.
One of the reasons why I decided to relaunch the podcast properly was because I really enjoyed doing it so much the first time dabbled with it back at the beginning of the year I think it was, when I was introduced to Spreaker.com by Ms Ileane Smith from BasicBlogTips. But I failed to continue with it or even expand from the first two old episodes which I’ve now deleted from Spreaker.com.
I’ve been also been unable to put my attention and focus to podcasting properly because I’ve been extremely busy with other areas of my online business, and of course the blog and writing my new eBook. But, this time I’ll be ensuring that a new episode is published at least once or even twice a month.
In This Episode
In this episode (Session number 1) I provide a brief insight into my professional background and how I got into doing business online, as well as how I became involved in blogging and what it was like launching my first ever blog Magnet4Marketing, and how it supports my other online businesses. I didn’t go into great detail as much as I’d wanted to too, but I like to leave room for questions later. I also talk briefly about who and what inspired me to rekindle my podcasting ambitions, and what you can expect to hear from me in future episodes of the Magnet4Marketing Podcast.
The Gear
OK, I’ll very briefly mention some of the gear I’m using and it really doesn’t cost much at all to do a podcast for your blog. At this time, I’m using a CAD U2 USB Stereo headphone with microphone which I got from Amazon for around $30, and Audacity, which is a free open source, cross-platform software for recording and editing sounds, which was also introduced to me by Ileane Smith.
The first podcast episode came together quite well all thanks to an awesome series of Podcasting Video Tutorials by Pat Flynn of Smart Passive Income, which came in more than extremely useful, thanks Pat :). In the new year I will certainly be upgrading my recording equipment as we’ll be moving into a new home and a new office, but for now I’m working with what I have just fine.

Your thoughts please…
One of the challenges I’m facing is trying to get my words across properly on the microphone without stuttering or umming and arring, it’s a challenge but I’m sure I’ll improve with time. At this time I’d like to ask once again for your thoughts on the first episode, any tips and suggestions will go noted. Also let me know what you’d like me to talk about in the future episodes. I’ll be looking to use the podcast for doing interviews with up and coming bloggers and entrepreneurs in the near future also.
