Below are 7 effective ways in which you can repurpose a single blog post on your blog, and if you have many, then you’re onto a winning roll already…
Repurposing content is a powerful way to market and promote your blog or website, providing you do it right, the 7 methods here I’ve applied to my own blog marketing strategies many times before and as a result has produced some great results.
- Create a video version of your top posts to post on YouTube
This is something I’ve just started doing recently and I can tell you it works. Creating video versions of your posts and posting them onto YouTube is a great content repurposing, marketing method. You can even add a link to the post from the video itself should you wish, and get more referral traffic from viewers. Perhaps you have a product review, or a ‘how to’ post that gets a lot of exposure… Consider creating a video version of it and start getting more traffic back to your blog.
- Create a podcast version of your post
Another suggestion would be to create a podcast of your post. If you don’t know where to start with podcasting, consider signing up to Spreaker.com, it’s a free podcast service and you can even embed your podcasts into your WordPress blog.
- Create a downloadable document or eBook
This is a popular technique, and you can use several posts to create your own downloadable PDF eBook, you can then use your eBook to help build your email list as a freebie, or even rewrite some of the content and make some money by selling your eBook.
- Chop and dice your posts and submit to web 2.0 blogging sites, or use as guest posts
This is also another very powerful content marketing technique. If you have the time, consider rewriting, chopping and dicing some of your best posts and submitting them to article directories or web 2.0 property sites. You might even want to submit them as guest posts, but ensure when you re-purpose them, they come out completely unique.
- Create an eye catching Infographic
How about creating an infographic version of one of your posts? If you’re not able to do this yourself, you can get in touch with a graphic designer to help you. You can then post the infographic on your blog and even add a HTML snippet so that others can post it on their blogs; this is a great way to build natural backlinks to your blog also.
- Use your posts for content fill in your email marketing campaigns
Use your best posts to add as content fill in your email marketing campaigns. Give your emails the sharing options to help make it go viral and attract new readers to your blog.
- Use your posts in your next webinar
Finally, if you want to hold a webinar then why not use some of the content from your blog to do it? Choose the best topics that you think listeners will be interested in listening to and engaging with you in further, and use your posts as references.
