How to Install & Setup Facebook Comment Plugin in WordPress!

Hey everyone it’s Friday and the weekend is almost here so where ever you are in the world have a good one. But!!! Before I crack open a cold one, in today’s post I’d like to share with you a short tutorial on how to install and setup the Facebook comment plugin into your WordPress blog.

Get the Plugin

First of all you’ll need to download the plugin from the WordPress.org plugin directory or alternatively go straight to the plugin download page to retrieve it.

Plugin in Action

“What this plugin simply does is migrates the Facebook commenting system into your blog.
Your readers will have the option of using the Facebook commenting box or the
conventional WordPress comment box to interact on your blog.”

Ok once you have the plugin on your hard-drive the next step is to upload it to your plugins folder in WordPress. If you’re not too sure about this go to your plugins folder and hit Add New. Then hit the Upload button link and browse your hard drive to find the downloaded plugin file and hit Install. You’ll need to upload the whole file.

After you’ve hit the Activate Plugin button we can the move on to configuring the settings to your desired effects.

Core Settings

In the core settings section you will need to enter your valid application ID and application secret. If you don’t have these you can find them from your Facebook applications page.
