Underestimating the Power of Email!


I don’t know about you guys, but these days all I’m hearing is; this social network site and that social network site… I’m getting pretty sick of it to be honest!!! Well perhaps I’m over exaggerating as usual, but what I do want to talk about is businesses, particularly online businesses, including part-time and newbie bloggers that are underestimating the potential power of email marketing, or the humble email full stop.

Way back before social networking sites even existed the humble email carried forward the great task of sending valuable information and driving back traffic to a business website, to a degree more or less.

With so many other options available these days including the overrated use of social networking sites, viral video marketing etc, I can’t help but think that the trusty email has been somewhat lost in the turmoil of the Web 2.0 phenomenon, or has it?

Well today we’re going to polish up on some of the key elements as to why the humble email remains to be king of all online marketing strategies.

Ok back to today’s posts and so I’d like to discuss with you 4 of the key features and benefits of 21st century email marketing which makes it a very powerful marketing tool.

Targeted

Email marketing can be targeted to a specific audience with pin point accuracy. If you build a solid list of contacts honed from your website’s opt-in form or your blog even, then you can’t really get any more targeted than this. The reason people sign-up to your email updates because they want to read more on what you have to say about a particular subject, that and perhaps a free gift…

The secondary benefit of using targeted email marketing is that your email CTR will be a lot more effective thus improving your overall ROI, and if you get things right in the first instant, the investment can be very little.

Everyone has Email

Pretty much so, yes that majority of the world’s population probably has and uses email as we know, and that’s plenty of fish in the ocean; just think of the revenue potential let alone the traffic that can be instantly generated back to your business.

Cost Effective

This is favourite one of mine, email marketing is either free or costs near to nothing in many instances. I’d recommend using an online service provider such as like Vertical Response or Aweber as these services adds a professional touch to your email marketing campaigns as well as proving to be extremely cost effective with many great features which bring us to the next part…

Better Monitoring

Once again if you use online email marketing services as named above, the tools available for measuring how much of an impact or more appropriately how effective your email marketing campaign is, is priceless in itself. Much more than can be achieved with any other form of internet marketing strategies in my mind.

The entire above mentioned are just some of the features and benefits of using email marketing to the best of its advantages.
