I've had a few emails over the last couple of weeks from individuals stating that they are finding it quite nit-picky and difficult to add a secondary domain or blog to their existing Bluehost package.
I must admit initially I found this to be quite challenging myself when registering a second domain. So here goes to the best of my ability for you guys.
1. First of all assuming you have an account with Bluehost, log into your Bluehost c-panel.
2. Secondly scroll down to the Domains panel and click on the Register Domain icon.
3. Now if you know the name of the domain you want to register then type it into the Choose a Domain field along with the extension and hit next.
4. If your chosen domain name is available the screen will change with the title starting with Register New Domain… (Your chosen domain name.com)
On this page you can make selections such as domain privacy and the renewal settings. Select yes to automatically renew the domain before it expires as this will save you time when the time comes, then hit next.
5. On the next page will be your payment options using a credit card or PayPal. Once you have selected your payment option, hit Pay Now.
6. Once you have made your purchase go to the Domain Manager tab at the top of your c-panel screen.
7. To be able to use your new domain you will need to assign your it as an add-on to your primary domain name.
That’s it you’re done. If you want to use your domain name for a new WordPress blog go back to your c-panel and scroll down to the Software / Services panel and click on the WordPress logo to bring up the Simple Scripts page, the very best of luck.
