With 2011 being only a matter of weeks away, what are your thoughts about the prospect of a new year and another prosperous opportunity to push your blogging and marketing even further than ever before? How are you going to improve your blogging experience in general? here are some tips to get your juices flowing.
A post a day
If you’re use to writing a single post a week and looking to up your count, then why not make a promise to yourself to write 2 or three posts per week?
Change your theme
Tired of your old theme? Get yourself a new one. May I suggest using Genesis Framework along with one of their stunningly designed premium themes?
Interact more…
Get more involved with your readers and commentators, add your feedback and be more personal. On the same subject you can do the same with your social media interventions too.
Get rid of spammers for good
If you’re not already using Akismet then it’s about time you did. My blog has only been online since July and before a few weeks ago I was becoming the ultimate target for spam bombers! Akismet took care of it for me.
Hold regular competitions
Why not celebrate the arrival of the New Year with a competition to reward your readers for their support throughout 2010. You could give away something useful such as an eBook or something related to your blog niche, perhaps a product or a service.
Plan an achievable marketing plan
When it comes to getting more traffic to your blog content is king, but so is marketing itself. Why not set yourself a goal to achieve with a small marketing plan?
Set smaller goals
If you’re creating a marketing plan then set yourself smaller achievable goals, then hit them hard.
Attend a blogging seminar or convention
This is something that’s definitely on my list for 2011 and if viable, why not make an effort to attend at least one blogging or internet marketing convention? You can learn a great deal from other bloggers alike as well as get the opportunity to get your own blog name around.
Try out different monetization methods
Are you sick of using Google Adsense? Then why not try out other monetization methods for your blog. Check out our post on 6 Money Making Advertising Networks for your Blog.
Learn something new
Last but not least learn something new about your niche, doing so can reward you greatly offering your more opportunities to write and share you knowledge on your blog.
Hello, I discovered your blog in a new directory of blogs. I dont know how your blog came up. Your weblog looks good. Have a good day.
Thanks for your kind words.
