In this post you will learn some ways to boost your presence on Twitter… Twitter now has more than 500 million active users worldwide, and whilst Facebook may still be the ‘king of social media’ with over 1 billion active users, Twitter shouldn’t be ignored just because it plays second fiddle to Facebook.
In fact there is every potential to connect with hundreds and thousands of users, brands and customers everyday on Twitter; however you simply need to go beyond the conventional call of duty, i.e. just having a twitter profile with a handful of followers, and tweeting a bit here and a bit there is simply not enough to say you’re involved in the world of twitter marketing.
If you want to learn how to grow more Twitter followers, please check out the following post where I share the tips and strategies that have helped me build over 11,000 twitter followers.
OK folks, in this post I’m going to talk to you about boosting your presence on Twitter, and of course if you really want to make the most out of using Twitter for marketing, then you really need to think about what practices to use to help you increase your presence and promote your brand further on this platform, so to get you started I’m sharing with you 8 tips to help you boost your presence on Twitter.
How To Boost Your Presence On Twitter
1. Ask questions, post surveys and more…
Learning comes from asking questions and twitter is the perfect place to ask questions and even post surveys. Ask questions about anything that is related to your business or industry. Also don’t be afraid to answer questions and help others too.
2. Embrace the power of photo sharing
As well as posting tweets, links and messages you should also post and share interesting photos and videos on Twitter, and perhaps add a link to related content on your blog or products on your website, landing pages etc. Using photos has proven to be very powerful way to put a face to your story and encourage people to ‘take action’. Instagram is an awesome tool to help you take, edit and share your images on Twitter through your mobile device.
3. Be resourceful
Tweet and share interesting and relevant topics of your own by all means, but also don’t forget to be resourceful and retweet and share other useful and valuable content posted by other users too. The more resourceful you are the more followers you will gain and help to increase your presence in the process.
4. Say thank you…
When someone follows you or shares your content, don’t just let it go by unmentioned, post them a thank you message in a simple tweet. You’ll also notice when you’re being resourceful and sharing content posted by others, they’ll also return the thanks.
5. Tweet a useful ‘tip of the day’
I love posting tips of the day, it’s a great way to converse with people on Twitter. It doesn’t matter what niche or industry or type of business you’re in, posting a ‘tip of the day’ is a great way to provide a free resource that will help you to increase your presence on Twitter.
Your tip of the day can be a simple message and link to relevant content on your blog or website for example – “Tip of the day: Learn More About Your Customers and get Feedback with Twitter http://t.co/OJGLXead“, or simply write a tip in the form of a tweet itself.
6. Post a ‘motivational quote’
Motivational quotes are awesome for providing encouragement to others whilst helping to boost your presence on Twitter. People love to share something that they feel that has helped to motivate them, and motivational quotes can work towards making that happen in every way.
