What Are Your Motivations For Blogging… Why Do You Blog?

Blogging is the ultimate past-time turned into a profitable business model for many people.

With so many free and premium productivity tools and resources available online, anyone can quite literally start a professional blog and begin blogging about what ever it is that takes their fancy, be it knitting or spelunking.

But foremost, blogging has helped many people not just to build a career out of, but also helped them to network and connect with other like minded individuals in their industry, build an online reputation, increase their online productivity, improve their professional portfolio and much more.

Motivations for Blogging

For me blogging has almost become somewhat of an addiction, I see it as a fun business model and one that I’m constantly working at to make more profitable, doing what ever it takes and putting what ever time I can and need into it, but not everyone has the same motives.

Some people blog for other reasons, in fact not everyone wants to make money from blogging although sometimes it’s hard to believe that.  Some people enjoy blogging to help them connect with other like minded people online, perhaps on the weekends.

Anyways this post is just for a bit of fun really, and another opportunity for me to be able to engage with you and find out more about you and your blogging ambitions.  So I ask you the inevitable question -

What are your motivations for blogging.  Why do you blog?

Is it…

A) To make money and build a profitable business from?
B) To build online reputation (fame) and or improve a CV or professional portfolio?
C) To promote your existing online business
D) To network with others and build new connections online?
E) Just for a bit of fun?

What ever your motivations for blogging are, let me know your reasons by selecting A, B, C, D or E and leave me a comment below as always.  Don’t forget to share this post on Facebook, Twitter and Google+

Enjoy the weekend folks :)

    Hello Fabrizio,

    I’m not a blogger. I’m a fan of sharing.

I like to share whatever comes into my mind and that’s the whole reason why i blog. To me blogging is like emptying my mind, if i don’t do it then I’ll go crazy.

To me my blog is my diary where I write my problems , my solution, even the things I don’t want to write.

To me blogging is the way of living my life online. :)

Some time ago I lost my motivation for blogging, and if it wasn’t for posts such as this I wouldn’t be blogging anymore, thanks for the motivation.

I originally started blogging as an outlet for my thoughts. Just an online journal that I added to whenever I felt I had something to say. Then I had 2 blogs then 3. Now I have several that I operate as a business, and I still use the original as a means for me to clear my head.

My motivations come from the desire to share my knowledge with as many people as possible, solve people’s problems and make some decent income as well. Just blogging for fun alone may not carry one too far if there is no money to renew domain, pay for hosting and for internet connection. One needs to be able to keep going even as one enjoys the fun of sharing.

I will gladly choose option “A”!

Blogs are an excellent way to make money online without any hassles. Beside the reputation of the blogger also plays a significant role. These days a lot of people prefer to make money online because of the obvious reasons. A week before I came across a site called eseekerz.com that pays you if a product referred by you is bought by someone. It leverages the power of social networks and enables people to trade online with zero investment. You could start earning money in a matter of minutes.

I do not just blog just to earn money, though this is one of the reasons for blogging. But I do blog because this serves as an outlet for me to express myself and share useful things and information to people.
