Want to improve your blogging? - Every blogger out there, regardless of niche, background, ethnicity etc, is no doubt an expert at something or another. More than you’d like to admit if you’re a blogger yourself, you’ll probably be better at some things than you are at others.
That’s OK, it’s natural to focus your attention at the things you’re best at; it’s what helps you to become an authoritative blogger. But does being an expert at one thing make you a better blogger – If you’re asking for my opinion? No…
So what’s my point?
My point is that we can all spend too much time focusing on the things we’re already good at, and neglecting the things we’re not so good at, in effect that does not make us the best we can be at what we do as bloggers.
Here’s one of my examples; I’m currently obsessed with Twitter and I’m reading and tweeting, engaging and networking with people every day on Twitter, I know how to increase my followings and how to use the tools to reach new audiences and make sales etc… But my skills in other areas of my social activities are somewhat lacking…
Solution to Improve your Blogging
The solution is simple. We can continue to focus on the areas we’re prolific at, but at the same time we should make time to focus more on the areas of our blogging that needs improving.
Here’s another example of mine; I’d like to think I’ve perfected my list building skills, because I work at it everyday none-stop, I’m always looking for new ways to increase my daily subscribers. But at the very same time, I feel that I could pay more attention on improving my SEO skills, an area that I’m not so hot on.
You might feel the same about some things in your blogging that you’re good at and not so good at –
You might be an expert at writing super long blog posts without making your audience fall asleep, but at the same time your English writing skills might be atrocious. I’m just using an example here.
The one thing you shouldn’t be afraid of doing is admitting to yourself or others even, what you need to improve on, it’s the only way you’re going to become better at what you do and improve your blogging.
So I hope this little post has given you some food for thought, if you wan to improve your blogging, focus on the areas that need your attention more and less on the areas you’re already an expert at.
Leave me your thoughts in the comment section below as always, let me know what you believe you’re good at and what you believe you can improve on.

Yes I agree mate. We can become better bloggers in fact more than just improve the way we blog if we understood and practiced in all areas of our blog. To say perfect all areas would be pushing it so I won’t, as we can never really be perfect at anything, there is always something new to learn around the corner.
I agree with your point Fabrizio. I also need to focus on tech. I mostly tend towards business development and how-to-blog.
Hey Hassan, thanks for visiting and commenting. I’m not too hot on the tech side of things either mate, something I would like to understand more too. Have a great day
Good points Fabz, improving skills where you are lacking is essential and I couldn’t agree more about admitting that you need to improve in certain areas. For me it’s time management and being more organized, although many would say that I’m pretty organized lol
Yeah I second to that Sammy, when it comes to being organized I’m my own true enemy lol.
