3 Things That Lead To Online Failure and How to Avoid Them

How to avoid online failure… Failure is something we all fear of not just in business but in anything we pursue for in life… But how do you know when you’ve failed online? And no I don’t mean failed to get your computer connected to the internet either… I mean failed achieve your goals… i.e. failed to build a successful online business, or failed to start a blog that worked out for you, or failed to make money online

Today I want to share with you three things that can lead to online failure and how to avoid them.

You’ve failed only when you yourself have given up…

I’ve always had this theory that people only fail when they decide to give in… I’ve always believed that consistency can lead to success in what ever you do, and it couldn’t make more sense than working to succeed online… So the first rule in the guide to building a successful online business is to try and remain consistent throughout your quest for online success.

Being on the receiving end of negativity can lead you to feel as if you’ve failed…

We all receive negative comments and feedback at some stage along the way, some of us unfortunately can also receive negativity, or lack of support even from those closest to us… but it’s natural for people do doubt what we’re doing.

What you must be able to do is pick yourself up and remove yourself from the state of the negative mind, where you suddenly feel as if the feeling failure is setting in… and continue to pursue your ambitions and your dreams for online success.

A fellow blogging colleague and an inspiration of mine, Barry Wells of Barry-Wells.com once told me that people who dish out negativity are normally the ones that dream about being successful themselves, but never actually doing anything about it, and this is very true.

Dreamers remain as dreamers and rarely ever think out of the box, doers are the ones that make a difference in their lives and achieve the level of success they want in life… So remain focused, stay positive and continue to work hard towards your dream goals.

Lack of knowledge and understanding can lead to online failure…

One of the most common culprits for online failure is derived from the lack of knowledge and understanding. Theorizing is not often the best policy when you’re just starting out or building a business online…

This often happens in blogging, in particular people who start writing about how to make money online, when they themselves are yet to make a single dime from their own efforts.

Knowledge is the center of all great things, and I for one love learning something new. It’s stimulating and you always get the feeling that you’ve stepped up a little bit along your journey for online success.

So first learn, then learn some more and then put what you’ve learned into practice. Build your own database of knowledge and understanding before making the choices along your journey for online success.

Share your thoughts…

Let me know your reactions on the three things that can lead to online failure above, perhaps you know of a few others that we should avoid. I’d love to hear them so please add them in the comment section below.

I think one of the keys to avoid failure is to try not to think about failing. Keep a positive frame of mind and tell yourself that you are going to succeed. If failure is always on your mind, you are that much more likely to throw in the towel.

Also, it really helps to surround yourself with people who will help you with your goals. You might want to take on a mentor who has been in your shoes before and knows what it takes to succeed. Good positive reinforcement is good, but you may need someone who can bluntly tell you what you might be doing wrong.

Before starting any kind of online business, you should better read a lot about all this, get all necessary knowledge, I think that at least having some knowledge can prevent you somehow from failures

You’ve laid out good points! i think the key to success online is being updated on the latest trends on the cyber world. Don’t be too overwhelmed on the benefits without investing effort and hard work, too much expectation without action could also lead to failure.

Hey Anton, welcome and thanks for stopping by. You’ve added another very good point. It is so very easy to step off the gas when you expect results for the work you put in, but consistency is the other viatal ingredient that is needed in the mix. Have a great day :)

Success of any business whether offline or online is not being gained overnight. It needs careful planning and structuring. Knowing what to avoid would also be a big help to ensure success of the business. It has been seen that there are a variety of reasons why a business often fails. Some of them are:
    Poor Industry
    Overused ads
    Ineffective Traffic Action Plan
