4 Cool Ways to Promote your Information Products

One of the most adventurous areas of internet marketing is being able to create and promote your own information products. It is in fact one of the most powerful ways to promote your business online, from a blogger’s perspective creating information products is a great way do marketing i.e. exchange information for an email address… to build a list, or if the information is valuable enough, why not even make money from it.

Ok, let’s assume that you already have your shiny new product, and that you’ve spent the last 3 months or so putting it together and now you’re ready to unleash it to your audience… so how can you go about promoting it effectively? Let’s take a look 4 ways to promote your information products -

Have an Attractive Front Page

You know the famous saying, never judge a book by its cover, well unfortunately many people do and one of the most powerful ways you can start promoting your information products, assuming it’s in the form of an eBook for example, is to have an attractive front page. The cover says it all…

It doesn’t matter how valuable the information is inside, if your front cover isn’t appealing enough, people will be less likely to be interested in subscribeing to download it let alone purchase it. If your information products are in the form of podcasts or videos, again use attractive marketing such as branding and offer samples to help sell the product for what its worth.

Price your Product Sensibly

This is another issue many people have and that’s putting a price on their products. At the end of the day only you can be the decider of how much you want to sell your information products for. But to assist you, you might want to consider asking others to take a look at your product and give it a bit of a test drive, get them to give you some kind of feedback and ask for their suggestions on how they think you should price structure your product. Also look at similar products online and see how much others are selling their information products for.

Create an Attractive Landing page for your Information Products

Landing pages come in all shapes and sizes; some are straight to the point, cleanly branded and balanced with the right amount of information on the product features and benefits. One last powerful method I want to share with you to promote your information products is to ask others i.e. other bloggers to review or even promote your products on their blogs for you. Some bloggers offer a paid review service which is often quite a cost effective way to promote your information products, other’s might even do it for free you never know.

If you don’t know anyone who would be willing to help you out with promoting your information products, consider writing some review articles yourself and posting it to article sites, as basic as this might sound, its basic marketing that works best.
