For many years Google Analytics has been amongst the favourite in website traffic behaviour and monitoring tool for businesses, webmasters, bloggers, internet marketers all wanting to track their traffic growth and returns on investments. Recently Google announced that it had developed a premium service to Analytics, aiming to give webmasters more insight and support into processing their website’s traffic data, Google Analytics Premium.
Google Analytics Premium is currently being used by some of the globes well known businesses and organisation such as Travelocity and GUCCI; a premium service would give more businesses increased power, ability and ease of use of Google Analytics, and Google aim to offer this service for a one flat rate annual fee.
According to Google, its premium service is aimed to offer businesses –
- Extra processing power, more data, processed and generated quickly
- Deeper insights into data using advanced analysis tools!
- Google uptime guaranteed through service level agreements
- Your own dedicated Google support team
In my humble thoughts and opinions, I think a paid service of Google Analytics is ideally suited for larger businesses and organisations looking for a far more aggressive solution to tracking their ROI’s, website traffic behaviour and the effectiveness of their marketing campaigns. I personally don’t think that a premium paid service is going to be a cost effective or viable option for the ‘small business’ end of the market, but some may well argue that case.
Google also mentioned that it will continue to develop and enhance the free version of Analytics.
What are your thoughts about Google Analytics Premium, would you be interested in a paid service; let me know your thoughts and opinions.
