I’m no tech geek as such let’s get that straight first, but has anyone else found that some of the plugins aren’t working correctly or at all with the new WordPress 3.2 upgrade?
This morning I’ve spent an hour or so deactivating and removing a lot of the plugins I used because they’ve now failed to function correctly. However before upgrading to WordPress 3.2 yesterday they were all working perfectly fine. Is this a problem that WordPress has? I don’t believe it to be. The problem is with the plugin authors themselves.
If you check out the comments posted on the WordPress.org forum regarding this issue you’ll know that WordPress 3.2 has been in BETA mode for a pretty long old while as well, giving enough time for the plugin authors to update their plugin services accordingly, which should by now have been made compatible with WordPress 3.2!
Nope, instead a humongous amount of WP users including myself are now having to deactivate and remove these plugins to make our WordPress site function more properly. I don’t like doing that… :/
Ok here is the small list of plugins I’ve had to deactivate from my dashboard and in light of this hope that the authors can advise us how, if or when these plugins will be upgraded to function with WordPress 3.2.
Plugins Removed
1. Flickr Photo Album by Joe Tan
2. Get Social by Riyaz
3. Semisecure Login Reimagined by Moggy
4. ViperBar by ViperChill
As mentioned this is just a few but if anyone is using a plugin that was working before upgrading to WordPress 3.2, please feel free to add them to the list in the comments section below. I Look forward to hearing from anyone with similar issues.
