3 Things I’ve Learnt From My Experience With MaxBlogPress Tech & Customer Support!

My recent experience with the none-existent tech and customer support team at MaxBlogPress has opened my eyes up to a few issues regarding customer care, and has made me more aware of my actions as an ecommerce site owner.

Consumers are the lifeblood in an ecommerce environment, not how popular the site is or how significant that site is on the web. Forget Alexa rankings and number of Twitter followers, it’s the consumers that count, end of!

This week I’ve had the pleasure of re-launching my online art site which has been in redesign mode for the best part of the last 3 months. As well as having a now better organised site catered for my clients shopping experience, the MaxBlogPress experience has reminded me of the valuable importance of customer satisfaction.

So what have I learnt?

I’ve learnt 3 things from my experience with MBP and they are:

1. Always keep the customer informed of what’s going on rather than not communicating with them at all whilst trying to rectify the problem.

2. Be as honest as you can be. If there is a problem don’t pretend that there isn’t one whilst you’re trying to fix it. So no cock and bull stories if you like, just explain what has happened and how you intend to rectify it as soon as possible to fulfil your customers order requests.

3. Recognise your faults. I received an apology email from MaxBlogPress almost 4 days after the refund was issued to me from ClickBank, and almost 7 days from when I made the initial purchase. So I hope that MBP has recognised that there are some major flaws in the tech and customer care area.

As I said I know I’m probably part of a minority of customers who have experienced a bad show from MBP, but there are many ways of turning a problem into a solution. Happy ecommercing if ever there was a saying.
