Working from home is one of the most rewarding opportunities possible, you are your own boss and you can work the hours to suit your lifestyle. However it can also be quite challenging depending on your very lifestyle.
Understandably we all have different circumstances such as family commitments, dependents etc. Needless to say asides from this, there are also other elements that can easily distract you, from carrying out and completing your daily tasks when working from home.

1. Avoid listening to the Radio (MP3’s are much better as long as it is just music you’re listening to).
2. Turn off the television, this alone can become the biggest distraction ever.
3. Lock the doors and windows and draw the blinds (If you must).
4. Drink plenty of water and eat well before and during your working day.
5. Set yourself a starting and finishing time and commit yourself to sticking by this week in, week out.
6. Make good use of a work diary.
7. Planning your tasks for the day should be your first task of the day.
8. Don’t get distracted by going off to do house chores during your working hours!
9. If your work requires you to be online, don’t sign into MSN chat or Facebook unless it’s purely for business.
10. Don’t plan to do recreational activities during your working hours.
