Blogging whilst on the move is one of the main reasons why I love escaping from the ball and chain of the desk. It means I can hit the beach, catch some surf and then watch the sun go down whilst writing my next compelling blog post, all sounds too good to be true? It probably does.
Anyhow for you Android lovers, here are 3 popular Android blogging applications to sink your teeth into, enjoy.
WordPress
This is an application that I use more often than any other as two of my main blogs are built around WordPress. It’s a really cool app to use which allows me to view and moderate my comments, view and edit my posts and pages, compose a new post or see my blog stats. One of the only gripes with the Android version is that when you go to save in drafts, it doesn’t appear in the folder when I log into it using my main computer.
Blogger
This is a brilliant app for Blogger fans looking to use their smartphone to quickly write posts to publish on their blogs. With the Blogger app you can compose your post and upload photos from your phone or use the camera and you can also add your current location to your post. Once done you can save, publish or delete. If you have multiple blogs with Blogger you can easily switch from blog to blog by clicking on the list tab in the top right hand corner.. Top app I love it.
Tumblr
I’m not a great fan of this app or Tumblr to be honest but for those of you who are: The Tumblr app lets you share links, photos, audio and videos whilst blogging on the move with your device. The dashboard section is pretty nifty and allows you to read, like, retweet or reblog posts by those who you follow on Tumblr. Downside is that it’s still crashes, freeze and hogs the CPU from time to time.

Cool, I have an android smartphone but I did not know about these applications. I am certainly going to download and install the Wordpress application in my Cellphone.

Yes I use the WordPress app for my Android phone and it’s a Godsend tool to use whilst on the move. I particularly find the comment moderation tool very useful and if I get an idea for a new blog post I don’t have to wait until I’m back in the office to start composing it. Highly recommended.
