If you’re looking for a simple way to create an eye-catching fully functional ecommerce website then look no further than WordPress. I’ve been looking for a complete redesign of the Van Marciano Art website and since looking at WordPress, I’ve come across so many cool ecommerce themes, and so having taken a pick from a selection that I’ve found online, I share with you my personal top 5.
This is an amazing template with a clean eye-catching design. The homepage combines a dynamic content gallery with all the other attributes found on a good ecommerce homepage. This template is fully customizable with some great back end features such as Shopping Cart Manager, Payment Manager and Manage Coupons. The theme also backs some great SEO aesthetics and of course a fully functional blog, definitely my top choice for a future ecommerce website project.
This is a another one of my favourite ecommerce themes by the same guys at Templatic, the WP Store offers an even cleaner design and although the design has similarities with the Emporium theme, there is a much simpler feel and look to this template. As with all of Templatic’s templates you’re provided with a fully customizable theme that offers product and order management, shipping options, multiple payment gateways and options, coupon codes, guest checkout and a nifty user registration panel.
3. Ecommerce Theme by Ecommerce Theme
This is a fantastic simple looking theme with perhaps not as refine looking as the last two, but still it offers user’s easy customization, SEO and store management tools.
4. The Furniture Store Theme by Theme Forest
This theme offers exceptional qualities and a unique ecommerce design with great aesthetics offering 2 styles Child themes, an optional blog, 27 independent and collapsible widget ready section within the dashboard, 23 customised widgets, wish list and customer login and registration abilities. There is somewhat of a maze feeling when browsing products which I feel can be quite daunting from an online shopper’s point of view.
5. Simple Shopper Theme by ShopperPress
This is a great looking theme; it almost has some form of resemblance with the eBay layout. The theme is compatible with WordPress 3.0 and offers the following features; Homepage featured content sections, widget, AdSense and Google maps ready plus more.
